What Is Included in a Free Orthodontic Consultation

• A full orthodontic exam with Dr. Werner or Dr. Myers
• Digital X-rays and photographs
• A diagnosis explaining what is going on and why
• A written treatment plan covering your options
• The full cost of treatment, in writing, along with your insurance benefit and payment plan options

There is no charge for any of it and no requirement to start treatment.

What To Expect During Your Orthodontic Consultation

During your consultation we will discuss treatment options, time frames, and financial arrangements. We promise that you will leave the office with a clear understanding of you or your child’s needs, what the braces or Invisalign® treatment will consist of, and how long it will take.

We answer five questions at every initial exam. Is there an orthodontic problem, and if so, what is it? What has to happen to correct it? Will any teeth need to be removed? How long will treatment take? What will it cost? You leave knowing all five.

What To Bring To Your Appointment

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:

• Any panoramic X-ray you or your child has had taken within the past 6 months.
• Referral Information
• Your dental insurance card, if you have one. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you an accurate estimate of your costs.

When Should My Child Have a First Orthodontic Evaluation

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic screening at age 7. By then enough permanent teeth have come in for us to see how the bite is developing. That does not mean treatment starts at 7. For most children it does not. It means problems get caught while they are still easy to address, and if nothing needs doing we will tell you that and check back as your child grows.

Consultations are available at our Indianapolis office on East Washington Street and our Greenfield office on Boyd Avenue. Both open at 7am, so a consultation does not have to cost anyone a school or work day.

Bring your insurance card and we will verify your orthodontic benefit during the visit and apply it to your written estimate. For the balance, we offer interest-free monthly payment plans.
